Hey! I'm Stan, an expert in carbon wheels and a bike enthusiast. What fascinates me most in this sport is the technique, especially the wheels. For more than twenty years, I have worked in the cycling industry: I have had the chance to collaborate with professional teams, to talk with high-level engineers and mechanics, and to test a package of technologies.
My expert course carbon wheels
In a professional team. I first spent a few years in the administrative staff of a French professional team, a first immersion behind the scenes of professional cycling.
In store. I then ran a bicycle shop specializing in premium equipment, in direct contact with cyclists and their questions.
Shopping. Finally, I was a buyer in one of the largest French brands in the cycle, where I managed the carbon wheel radius. This post has enabled us to meet all the world's leading brands, understand their manufacturing processes and discover what is really behind these products.

How I Test Wheels
My opinions are based on miles, not technical data sheets:
- Most of the time, I buy the wheels I test; Otherwise, I'll get them ready.
- I drive at least 1,000 km with a pair before giving my opinion.
- I drive mainly in tubeless.
- My journeys are rolling, in all times and on all types of coatings.

My independence
I have no connection with the brands I'm talking about: no partnership, no sponsored article. This independence gives me complete freedom of speech. Here, no bullshit marketing: I say what a wheel really does on the road, its qualities like its faults, even when it doesn't fit the brand's speech. My views are my own.
