New Wheels 2025, the first clues seen in the platoons
In 2025, the WorldTour peloton remains an exceptional showcase for wheel manufacturers, revealing new exclusive or test-phase wheels that fascinate amateurs. From Cofidis with its Campagnolo Bora WTO Ultra to Picnic PostNL and its Lentic Scope, to Bahrain, Arkéa and Astana on Vision Silver Edition, technologies push the limits. Scope, with its revolutionary Artechs of 2024, promises surprises, while Ursus intrigues with his project « Enigma ». Here is an overview of these equipments that could soon transform your bike.
Cofidis Bora WTO Ultra with white markings
Cofidis equips its Look 795 Blade RS with Campagnolo Bora WTO Ultra, recognizable by their unique white markings. This bold design celebrates the return of Campagnolo to the WorldTour, but it is the technical prowess that attracts attention. Built of H.U.L.C. carbon (Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon), these wheels display a feather weight of 1,325 g the pair thanks to a careful optimization of fiber and resin. Their aerodynamics, refined in wind turbines (Wind Tunnel Optimized), rely on 45 or 60 mm profiles and asymmetrical G3 rays, guaranteeing exceptional lateral rigidity to transmit each watt without loss. Ceramic bearings CULT, almost without friction, ensure a durable slide, even under the constraints of long stages. A general public version with this marking is in preparation, promising a direct transfer of pro performance.
Technical specifications
- Weight 1 325 g the pair (45 mm).
- Material : H.U.L.C. carbon, handmade with high modulus fibers.
- Rays : G3aerodynamics and asymmetrics for a balanced tension.
- Bearings : CULT ceramic, friction coefficient reduced by 9 times vs. steel.
- Profile 35, 45 or 60 mm, optimized in wind tunnel for side winds.

The DT Swiss ARC 1100 d
Uno-X runs on custom DT Swiss ARC 1100 with large stickers « DT Swiss », a visual signature that contrasts with the usual sobriety of the Swiss brand. Available in 50 or 62 mm profiles, they operate a high-module carbon for an impressive weight-to-rigidity ratio, around 1492 g the pair. The wheels, designed with Swiss Side's aerodynamic expertise, reduce drag while remaining stable under lateral winds thanks to a refined shape. DT Swiss 180 hubs with their system EX RatchetP, offer instant responsiveness and proven durability on the demanding roads of the WorldTour. A limited edition with this bold design (a little inspired by Pogacar's SES 4.5?) is likely to be available in the next few months.
Technical specifications
- Weight 1 492 g the pair (50 mm).
- Material : High carbon module, optimized stratification.
- Rim : 50 or 62 mm profile, co-developed with Swiss Side for aero.
- Moths : DT Swiss 180 Ratchet EXP
- Bearings : Ceramic SINC
Vision Metron SL: Silver Edition special series illuminates the peloton
Bahrain Victorious, Arkéa-B&B Hotels and Astana Qazaqstan have been riding the Vision Metron SL 60 Silver Edition since mid-2024, well before their official launch in January 2025. This special series, also available in 45 mm, enhances an elegant silver finish on 60 mm (or 45 mm) rims, weighing 1,650 g and 1,550 g respectively. The unidirectional carbon, reinforced for disc brakes, offers WorldTour-tested robustness, while tubeless-ready compatibility adapts to modern tires (25-30 mm). The PRS (Precision Response System) hubs, with high precision sealed bearings, reduce energy loss, and the aerodynamic profile, validated by CFD modelling, excels on fast runs. Already on the market, they combine distinction and accessible performance.
Technical specifications
- Weight 1 490 g (60 mm) or 1 390 g (45 mm) the pair.
- Material : Unidirectional carbon
- Depth : 60 mm or 45 mm, optimised in CFD for aircraft.
- Moths : PRS, low friction sealed bearings.
- System : Tubeless-ready, internal width 21 mm.
Lenticular Artech Scope at Picnic PostNL?
Picnic PostNL unveiled a Scope lenticular wheel at the UAE Tour, but what does the Dutch brand really hold for us? After the Artech of 2024 – 3D hubs in Scalmalloy, carbon rays, rims in fish scale (965 g for the Artech 2) – Scope proved its audacity. This lenticular, perhaps below 1000g, relies on a carbon monohull structure to remove drag on time. But could we see a model as revolutionary as the Artech in a lenticular version? The scaly texture to reduce turbulence, an even lighter 3D printed hub or a rethought rigidity for extreme forces: the assumptions fuse. Scope knows how to surprise – how far will they push innovation this time?
Ursus Enigma: the Italian mystery
Ursus teases his project « Enigma », a non-commercial wheel that remains in the shadow. This prototype could play on advanced carbon or a new design, challenging Scope or Enve. The details are missing, but waiting is growing.
Rumors around Enve and Zipp
The networks stir after shots of Tadej Pogacar this winter on new Enves, with an intriguing chrome hub – perhaps an evolution of SES for UAE Team Emirates. At Zip, the 303 and the NSW range are aging in the face of competition; a renewal in 2025 or 2026 seems logical.
