Tune Nano Road and Nano CS Road: the patented hub that releases the carbon beam
After the gravel, Tune declines its Nano platform on the road. On July 28, 2026, the German brand presented six pairs of carbon wheels: the Tune Nano Road with steel beams and the Nano CS Road with carbon rays, each in 35, 45 and 60mm. They weigh from 1180g to 1440g the pair, cost from 2290€ 3420€ and accept up to 130kg of total weight. At the centre of the range, a patented hub designed for carbon rays.

Tune Nano Road and Nano CS Road: six pairs, one rim
Tune, located in Buggingen in southern Germany, made a name with its hubs and ultralight parts. On the road, its range of wheels was so far drawn by the Yokto, thought for minimum weight. The Nano Roads are intended for another purpose: a robust and versatile wheel, from long training to running. Tune had already collaborated with Reserve on the Reserve SL Tune Pico of Visma | Lease a Bike, but it's all Tune wheels here.
The range is divided into two families that share exactly the same rim. Nano Roads receive 24 Sapim CX-Ray steel beams per wheel on a Nano 24 hole hub. The Nano CS Road move to 20 Aero-Tune Carbon Rays per Wheel, on the new Nano CS 20-hole hub. Each family exists in 35, 45 and 60mm profile.

24mm internal hook rim, UCI-approved
Of the six pairs, the carbon rim measures 24mm in width and 32mm in width. It is hooked, tubeless ready and UCI-approved. Tune announces a 28 to 45mm compatibility, with an optimization for tires from 28 to 30mm, and a maximum pressure of 7 bar. The hooks allow to roll in tubeless as with air chamber, without restriction of tire mark. To check your editing, our guide rim and tire compatibility Make the point.
Design detail, the 45 and 60mm rims are symmetrical, while the 35mm version uses asymmetric front and rear rims. According to Tune, the gain in rigidity prevailed over the small aeroloss.
Nano CS: the patent that releases the carbon beam
It is the heart of the range. A carbon radius must work in a straight line between the hub and the rim. According to Tune, this imposed so far a hub body designed for a precise rim geometry, therefore a dedicated and expensive piece. Tune has patented a machined drill with spherical strawberry: the head of the radius can rotate in its housing and line itself to the hole of the rim. Tune speaks of a straight radius line, with less constraints.
Practical consequence: the same Nano CS hub serves all three rim profiles. A precise shape on the hub plug that it adapts to almost all rims, with a reserve for road rims around 65mm depending on their deportation. Tuna has tested the system up to 700Nm of torque. The hub game is also sold alone: 750€, or 1380€ Ceramic according to BikeX. Tuna says it's handmade in Buggingen.

To situate this approach, DT Swiss did the opposite with its ARC 1100 Carbon Spoke : carbon rays associated with hubs and rims drawn together. Tune bets on a universal hub.
POETRY 69 and Enduro bearings
Both families use the POETRY 69 system and its 69 commitment points. Cycling Weekly states that an optional internal ratchet system doubles this figure to 138, compared to 40 on the Yokto 4550.
On the bearing side, Tune mounts standard steel Enduros. The ceramic option Enduro XD-15 costs 630€ and benefits from a lifetime guarantee. This makes you think about the real interest of ceramics.

Weight and price : 100g of difference and 500€ more for carbon
The weights announced by Tune, at ±3%, are 1280g, 1340g and 1440g the pair for Nano Road 35, 45 and 60. Nano CS Roads are down to 1180g, 1250g and 1350g. The transition to carbon rays thus increases 90 to 100g depending on the profile.
The price does not depend on the profile. Nano Road costs 2290€ pair with steel bearings, 2920€ Ceramic. Nano CS Road goes to 2790€ and 3420€.

My opinion
With the Tune Nano Road, Tune isn't looking for the weight record, he leaves it to the Yokto. The range matches what is expected in 2026: 24mm internal rim with hooks, tires from 28 to 45mm, 130kg total weight and 10 years warranty. The best compromise seems to me to be the Nano CS Road 45 : 1250g the pair for 2790€, with a patented hub and spare spokes supplied. Sapim CX-Ray Nano Roads remain the easiest option to maintain for 500€ less.
Reserves are mainly due to figures. The strength data of the CS system are those of Tune, and the ceramic option at 630€ significantly increases the bill for a questionable gain. To compare these wheels with the rest of the market, our Wheel comparison allows you to compare them model by model.
